Senior Concentration

My concentration focuses on diseases that have directly affected my family and contributed to the loss of loved ones. Drawing on both personal experience and an understanding of biology and cellular processes, I create wearable ceramic works incorporating elements of ceramic chainmail. These pieces explore the visible manifestations of illness while reflecting the erosion of bodily autonomy caused by disease. Through this work, I hope to connect with individuals whose lives have been shaped by chronic illness and loss, while fostering empathy and understanding in those who have not shared those experiences.
